Bud: I have seen one and one only tractor that appeared to have come from factory with painted axles. My 560 came with axles painted red and yes there was paint under where wheels were clamped at shipment. So it was either painted at factory or someone along the delivery system went to a lot of trouble to paint the axles. In all my years (61) being around Farmalls I've never seen another tractor with painted axles any color.
