Better figure on replacing the rings and bearings. The valve guides give very little trouble on the old ones and any oil leaking by them would be burned by the engine ( not fouling plugs), one sure way to check guides will be to look at the exhaust port on the head and see if it is coated in oil. A lot of times when a tractor set very long the rings stick then when used they either break or really stick. If you don't have very much ring on the sleeve I would replace the rings and all the bearings. If you need more power replace the sleeves and pistons with the overbore kit.
