if anyone cares I will try to post a daily log of the adventures of reviving this 1930 Farmall Regular. Yesterday I dragged it around under the shade tree and then went back out in the pasture and removed the PTO shaft fron a donor carcass. So this morning I put the shaft in. I had the caps soaking overnight in a lye water bath and they cleaned up nice. The radiater was rusted through in the bottom tank so it is removed and leaning against the tree. This afternoon I got started on the motor. It has been standing open for several years and after honing the cylinders I decided that the valve lifters were stuck, in fact one was stuck so well that the cam lifted the entire guide out of the block. Just before I came in I went out north and hunted up a repairable oil pan. Then it was time to pick up my tools and check in here. I am listening to some good cowboy music at cowboyculturalsociety.com
