I dont know what port is which ,but I do know why you can lock it out. Say you are disking and come to the end of the field, you throttle down and hold lever back to raise it to turn, as you get around you push the lever forward till it locks then use your hand to straighen out and throttle up to go again. The newer ones automatically kick out once the cylinder goes all the way down, but if yours is old you might have to manually put it back to "neutral".
