I purchased a 460 diesel this spring. I used it once early this spring to help pull a stranded vehicle and prep and plant oats. Very good runner. I was wanting to restore it so I took it to a mechanic to replace a leaky head gasket and he discovered 3 sleeves were broken in a major way. The tractor had sat most of this summer and he could not believe it started up and ran in it's condition. Not having a lot of knowledge of 460 diesels (or IH), I need to know if rebuilding or scrapping are the two options I have or is there something else?? Thanks for the input.
