C/SUPERC/200/230 were all same engine basically, drive gears will fail after many years, when they first designed these engines no hyd pump was mounted. They lasted quite a while after they put on pumps so IH wasnt really aware of these failures till way later. If it lasts 40 years or more that really isnt bad.
