K.B. > Can't find anything that got in between the gears. Assume the damage to the distributor/governor gear caused the damage to the cam gear. No evidence of damage to hydraulic pump gear, but will take it off today and look closer. Am considering trying to repair the damaged teeth - welding and grinding/filing back to shape. Please check your book about cross fitting of other tractor engines. Believe that engine was used on a number of models in that era. Justin,> Please drop me an email at the above address. What may be harder to find than the gear, is the little ball bearings & race in the shaft that sticks into the governor off that gear!
