Scott, where is the serial number tag? Under the seat or on the LH side of the clutch housing? I'd have to check but I >>THINK<< the Super A-1's had their serial number tag on the clutch housing. Also the A-1's had a bigger steering wheel, I want to say 18"? Same size as a Super C wheel. FWIW, I think distillate tractors were getting pretty scarce by then. And if in good shape, I enjoy a nice, clean original just as much as one immaculately restored. As far as completeness, does it have the tank, lines to the sediment bowl, proper manifold with heat shield and the radiator shutters and linkage?

If you had the chance, I'm sure we'd all like to see pictures. It sounds like a nice tractor.
