All good recommendations below. I have found it easy to use a straightened out wire coat hanger and run it through one end of the cross pipe where the lights mount. Tape your new light wire to the trailing end of the coat hanger. when you get the wire through the pipe, leaving plenty of extra wire hanging out each end of the cross pipe, remove the coat hanger snake. Now make a small "U" shaped hook on the end of the coat hanger and feed it up through the vertical post and try to "catch" the new wire in the hook. Once you have the wire "hooked", gently pull down on the coat hanger to pull the wire down through the vertical post and into the wiring junction box where you can splice them together. Happy snaking!
