Here is what I did with the emblem for our Farmall A. I painted it as close to the top edge of the letters with just a little getting on top. After the black paint is thoroughly dry, I used a file to file the surface of the letters etc. off to take any paint off. This method also makes the aluminum shime nice and bright. It looks great! Be sure to remove any dents or other imperfections before you do the painting.
