Brian: I have used 15W-40 deteregent oil in Farmalls going all the way back to 1951 letter series models up to and including a 1066. That takes in 16 tractors, 6 trucks 4 cars and my 28 year old 4 cycle lawn mower. I have never prematurely rebuilt an engine. I am talking 4,000 hours for gas engines and 10,000 hours for diesels.

I currently have a Super A, 130, 140, Buick lesabre and the lawn mower and all have 15W-40 deteregent oil in crankcases.
