There is still a rickety barbwire fence on the property line from the previous owner.. I just moved the 5' in and put up a nice 3 board cresote and 2x4 no-climb wire fence. Guess I should look into periodically maintaining that barb wire fence to make sure it doesn't fall down.. looks like that is the only thing that may 'maintain' my property as you point out.
