Who has been there the longest? You or them? What I did when we finally got neighbors ( 1/4 mile) they complained when I was plowing about the noise so every tractor I have lost the muffler and we plow only after dark. Only took 6 months for them to move back to town where they belonged. If you are in a ag area make all the noise you want. It works here. I still farm the ground we own inside the closest city at night and as long as we keep farming it the law can't do anything about it.
