Rebuilt my oil pump on my BN today because the oil pressure would drop to almost nothing at idle when the engine was warmed up and was just above the red at full speed. My pressure is better now, but still drops almost to the red at idle. Jumps back up to above half at less than half speed. Should it stay above half even at idle? Is this an indication of how bad my bearings are? Also, while I had the oil pan off I felt the cylinder walls. They feel ok but there is a lip about 1/4" from the bottom (feels like about .005"). Is this normal or is it an indication of how much they are worn? All this added together makes me wonder if I'm due for a complete rebuild. Thanks, Dave.
