Steve........I pulled our 4-14 540's this spring with our 400. Did use our 706 acouple of times though. The previous owner of the 706 pulled 5-16's with it and never had a problem.......We will stick to 4's so we can have the option of either the 400 or 706. Our 706 has a D282, so maybe you should try the 5's......
