Mike, you're right about one thing and that is the color. The Green ones in particular run so noisy, and vibrate so much that you wouldnt know if it had a problem or not in the first place. I wish I could shed some light on your main problem and that is how to shut the siren off, but that is a little out of my realm of expertise, at least until I have to conquer the same problem myself. Good Luck, and if you cant keep em running perfect, at least keep em RED.....
