I have an alternator on mine, 12V, some would have you keep it 6V. 12V is just handier for me, you will have to switch it from positive ground to negtive ground if you do change. This is mostly changing the battery cables and switching the wires on the amp meter. If you are not conserned about keeping it original standard automotive gauges will fit, I have some in mine as it is a work tractor not a show model! Lance

We had a mixed farm consisting of grain and dairy all done with old machinery and by hand.
