Darrel: You are getting us mixed up as Jim told you what P was for, whereas I on the letter J. Not important but Jim deserves credit on that one. Probably what that means is your tractor has shafting and gears internally for mounting IPTO. Your tractor could have had pto once and someone removed it. I think you would be safe in assuming you can buy the IPTO unit and install. There is a short shaft and two couplers that can't be left in tractor without the pto unit to hold them in place, so you will need those also.

I can't help you on the power steering matter.
