When people talk about puting 56 series shifters on 06 series, they're talking about puting 826, 756, 856, 1256, and 1456 shifters onto 706, 806, and 1206. Those have the 4 speed with high and low range. 560 has a plain old 5 speed, so no, the linkage swap wouldn't work for you. As for the TA linkage, it needs to be in perfect ajustment at all times, so I would worry that modification would throw off the ajustment and travel of the linkage. I like the idea of trading it. If it is in real good shape, you could get a good deal on a trade on somthing in the 544, 656, 666, 686 family. The 656 series tractors were a vast improvment over the the 60 series in terms of comfort.
