I ran into this problem when I added a remote control valve for a one/two way cylinder. The Touch Control unit is set up with an internal bypass valve. Once the rockshafts reach the desire position in relation to the lever position the oil is bypassed inside the unit. To over come this I took a piece of log chain and connected between on of the rockshafts and one of the culitvator mounting bolts on the front of the tractor. That way the rockshaft never gets to the desired position. Not fancy but it works. Ideally a person would purchase the correct parts from some place like Saginaw County Tractor. As Hugh MacKay mentions in his post the system has a small volume of oil. I added a 2 1/2 gallon reservoir in the return line. I can raise the hoist on an old grain wagon with no problems.
