I have really never been too awfully concerned on plow model numbers as the important part on plows is knowing part numbers on moldboards and there various parts. Over the years there have been various moldboards used on same plows, and each moldboard design has been used on most plows. Coulter are much the same. In 1956 for example every IH plow built, be they fast hitch, trailer or 3 point could have been equiped with the same style of moldboard and coulter, grouped of course according to moldboard width. Also every moldboard and coulter they were making at time would fit all plows. I am not suggesting you are this way, but many people on forum will suggest I bought this particular plow and I must know the model number so as to order parts. Not so, you must know your moldboard and coulter part number. I know farmers who have pulled the same plow around the farm for 50 years and for the last 48 years could not remember the plow model number. They however bought wear parts for the plow every year. Most of them didn't know the part numbers either, as they had been going to the same parts man for the 50 years and he recorded it before the farmer forgot after buying the plow new. I went to such a parts guy, and many times I remember him telling customers how their plow was equiped re: coulters, moldboards, jointers, trash cover boards, trip bottom, trip hitch, etc. Problem is most of them, plow owners and parts guys, as I have described have either retired or died. The corperate people would just as soon the old plow was cut up for scrap. Some of them are catching on there is money in this hobby.
