Larry, If the transmission is warm, it can spin for quite a while before it stops spinning causing grinding. Also, if you don't have enough transmission fluid in the transmission it will also keep spinning. The drain plug is on the bottom of the main transmission casting on the right rear side. It is a plug with an internal square hole. The filler plug is by the shifting lever. The full plug is on the left side of the front of the transmission. Fill until it comes out the hole on the full plug. According to my manual, the transmission holds 5 quarts of transmission fluid. Roger
