Will an SA grader blade fit on an A?

I've got a 1946 A, with a manual front rockshaft that is spring assisted with 2 levers off to the left of the gas tank. One lever works the right side and rear rockshaft, while the other lever works the left side.
I just visited a large implement place over the weekend, and they have a rusted but working snow plow/grader blade that came off the front of a Super A. They guy is telling me that with some minor welding modifications, it will fit my A. He is also saying it will be difficult to raise and lower it with the manual lift. Is he being straight with me, or am I looking at a lot of work to get it to fit? Anybody know?
