TD 25B CRAWLER CLUNKING NOISE

When I am pushing hard with my TD25B there can be heard a distinctive "clunking" noise like a large rock has fallen against the dozer.This will only happen once on a long push of a pile of logs for instance.The first few times it happend I though there must have been a large rock in the pile that fell against the dozer.The cat does not jump or vibrate when this happens.I resently had the R.H. track off and had the front idler proffessionally rebuilt and also rebuilt the power shift and torque converter.One person has guessed that the bushing on one of the cross shafts has broken .The R.H. track is a bit slack but I cannot see this causing the problem--has anyone encounterd such a thing?
