No the 06 and 56 series do not latch the same way or have interchangeable grills. I have 806 and a 856, the 806 has the spring that latches the big heavy cast grill in place, the 856 has a tubular grill that is much lighter, sits on two pins at the bottom with two spring pins at the top.
