Cub Loboy...

I'm looking at a Cub loboy, and I'm confused about the year. Serial tag has #8035, but it's the newer style "flat" front. Looks like yellow paint under the red. What year did the flat grille start, and what year did the yellow and white paint start? Am I looking at the wrong #? The tag has paint scraped off, and the largest # showing is 8035. Any help is appreciated...Stan
