C Oil Pump Spring

I found that my C has low oil pressure, so I dropped the pan and found that the bottom cover of the oil pump was warped so I fixed that. I read in the archives that the spring can get weak and cause problems. I measured the spring and it is 2 3/8 inches long. Should I replace the spring also?
