You can check for proper spark by pulling a plug wire and holding it about 1/4" from the tip of the plug. You should get a good spark. Verify that you are getting gas to the carb by loosening the gas line where it goes into the carb. When you are spinning the motor are smelling gas in the exhaust? Are all of the levers working properly? Does the choke lever actually move the choke on the carb? Are the plug wires on the proper plugs? Firing order should be stamped on the block somewhere. Is the air cleaner clean? I am guessing that it has the oil bath cleaner on it. It won't hurt it to run a couple minutes in a clean environment with the cleaner off. Just need to check some of these obvious ones first. Good luck.
