Smoking IH624

Have a IH624 (D206) that is puffing a fair bit of blue smoke (particularly at start-up - less so at idle but still some). When she's at working RPM's there is no noticeable smoking at all (she tends to like this better) - and the oil level remains constant (in fact the level hasn't moved since last change). Because of this I'm not overly concerned as yet - but was just wondering whether this is normal for these German diesels - otherwise she runs fine.
