Shwartz wide fronts are available, as well as used IH wide fronts- they run from 500 to 1000 bucks at the salvage yards. It may be better to buy a tractor with a wide front on it already.
A Delco 10SI alternator fits well under the hood.
I have seen some H's and M's with custom made cabs- not the prettiest thing to see.
