Paper Pulleys

I contacted a Company that advertises in Red Power to find the cost of rebuilding a paper pulley. They want $140 and you supply the pulley.

Does anyone have any experience in " dressing up " a paper pully to improve its appearence? I would think a lot of peaple could use some ideas if anyone has been successful.
