Dewey: Do you see any adjustment on that tiller that would allow you to move the tiller so you have a more direct line from pto shaft to tiller gear box. Some tillers do have this feature. Also if your shaft is coming apart you should be able to use a longer one. Are you sure your tiller is not moving to the right as it enters ground and starts working? This may be a stablization problem, with hitch allowing movement to the right.
