Tim: these are decent little tractors, quite economical to operate. Should be well matched with the 5 ft mower. The hydraulics are live which means you can do any hydraulic activity regardless of what else you may be doing when tractor is running. The 3 point hitch was standsrd equipment when new. The pto is live and operates as such, you push clutch pedal down 50% and main transmission clutch disengages, push it to the floor and pto clutch also disengages. This does take a bit of getting used to. You will find yourself stopping mower when you don't want to at first. After you use it couple of days you'll never notice. This pto system is just more economical keeping the cost of small tractors down. Most of the larger tractors have Independant pto, which is just what it says. One lever and completely independant of any other function on tractor. Both systems allow you to stop foreward motion of tractor while keeping your pto and implement operating.
