I remember working on an M years ago where I was able to pull all of the mesh out and clean it, but that does not seem to be the case with the H's and M that I have now, I suspect that the one that could be taken apart had already been modified (butchered) so that it could be cleaned. The best way I found to clean one is to have it off, put the cup on, and fill with solvent or whatever, then shake it, you will have to cover the inlet with your hand to keep the solvent in, might want to do this a couple of times, but a lot of crud will come out, then dry it with compressed air, if it doesn't seem clean enough, do it again.
