Cameron: Depends on what you mean by a factory loader. IH had a complete line of loaders since about 1955 and even before that they had a loader or 2 of their own manufacture. Loaders were always optional equipment. Probably only somewhere around 20% of all tractors ever had loaders. A tractor really isn't a good loader vehicle. Even the newer 4x4 tractors as they beat the H%^& out of the lighter drive gear, on the front end. A good loader vehicle uses the engine as a counter weight. A good skid steer loader will out perform most farm tractors. There are many many farms out ther today with no loaders on farm tractors. They are using skid loaders or small articulated. Once their loader work gets to 4-5 hours per day, no point in tieing up a tractor. The 3 point hitch and pto probably worth twice the cost of a new loader, and if your using tractor for loader work 5 hours per day that pto and 3 point aren't going to see much use and they are standard factory equipment.
