1066 With A Knock

Was pulling a 7' BushHog and hit a chunk of concrete and a "knock" or a loud "tap" started. The first thing I thought of was the engine, so I shut it down. Made a few checks - nothing visably wrong - re-started the engine. The "knock" seems to be coming from behind the multible control housing, under your left foot. I know there is a hyd pump in there, could this be making the knock? I do not think it's an engine knock. It started as soon as I hit that concrete with the cutter. Any ideas?
