The ignitor want a coil with a resistance that is prescribed in the ignitor instructions. Without that the ignitor will not live.
Uh, my personal solution would be to forget the ignitor, keep the BLaster coil, go back to points, a ballast resistor, and a MSD6. You'll like that combination better than the ignitor and BLaster coil
