I don't know a lot about the history of it. I've had it about a year. I'm the third owner, the second owner wasn't really into maintenance but didn't have it long enough to do real harm. When I got it I dropped the oil pan and noted that things were surprisingly clean, also ran the valves, changed all the fluids, re-wired, changed to 12 volts etc. I rebuilt the carb and thoroughly soaked it and cleaned and cleared all the passages, also had to rebuild the distributor. It's not using oil, but the previous owner may have operated it some w/o the air cleaner hooked up.
