It doesn't really matter to much whether you use the U-shaped or the swinger. It was previously posted that the swinger was intended for use and the U-shape intended for support. I am not going to argue that, but I will say that I have used the U-shape alot to hook to, even for plowing and never had any trouble. If you hook to the U-shape, slide the swinger clear to one side and put a pin in a hole to keep it there. Then hook up implement to center hole of U-shape unless you have reason to hook it up off sided. You may have to remove the swinger if it is in the way for turning. If you hook to swinger you will want to put the swinger in the middle with a pin on each side. You do not want the swinger to slide back and forth. I ussually use extra draw bar pins on the sides of the swinger.
