Farmall A and 10-20 oil filter

I noticed that the unit that holds the oil filter on both of these units look to be the same size.

Does that mean that they would take the same oil filter cartrage??

How much oil does it take to fill my A, if I change the filter? Someone told me to fill it until it ran out the top check spigot. Does this make sense??

Does anyone know the filter number I will need for my A.

I suppose if I had one number from a manufacturer, then the parts house could cross-reference.
