560D questions

I wondered if anyone had any input as to reliability and performance issues with a 560 diesel. I've thought about trying to pick one up for our operation but I'm somewhat hesitant due to a past experience my grandfather had many years ago. He had a 560D with wide front end and a heavy Freeman loader. From what I understand it was a decent tractor but after a long day of operation it was backed into our toolshed and shut down per usual. It failed to start the next morning due to a large crack in the block. It sat there for 6-8 years before being sold to someone who put $4000 in it and had a nice running, nice looking tractor.

I'd like to use it to run our IH47 wire tie baler (we use our SMTA now) , the manure spreader, and some mowing.

Has anyone had any similar experience with the machine? Was this a weakness of this engine? What about any other issues?
