Hope you got the older style of axle with the full backing plate for the brakes, like on car or truck. The newer style where you can look in and see all the brake componets are of poor quality. The break shoes are very thin and won't last long before you have to figure out some place to get new ones. They were designed as a bic lighter, use for a while then throw away. I brought home a set and after looking them over, dumped 'em and found better ones.Set of axles from under a camper are a good choice, many of them are a dropped center beam and will allow you to build the trailer closer to the ground. Also the use of more common 15" rims and tires. Not trying to rain on your parade, just letting you in on what my friends and I have learned, some of it the hard way.Aside from all that building your own trailer should save you some $$$,and allow you to custom design the features you want. "If' I ever build another it will be a deck-over,no fenders to get in the way. Good Luck!!
