Farmall 300

I have my 300 (1956) for sale and a gentleman called yesterday asking if it had a 2pt. Hitch. When I told him it was a 3 pt. he said "oh ! an add on".
I guess I always thought these came off the production line with the 3 pt.
How did these roll off the production line?
I'm not a tractor guru, by any means-I simply use tractors to cut a lot of grass. I have recently switched to a 2N simply because it is easier to get on and off. Thus the 300 is for sale.
