It will munch up an occasional corn stalk or a short row of sweet corn, but it wouldn't be suitable for field work. Likewise, it would clip scattered brush up to the size of blackberry canes, but you wouldn't want it in thick brush of any size, and definitely not hardwoods larger than 1/4". It really is a grass mower; a very good one, but not much more than that. The price sounds good enough if things are in reasonable shape.
