W-30 looks compared to F-30

I was recently at a steam show where they had about 75 tractors and 15 steam engines. I saw what the owners card proclamed as an W-30. I had always thought somhow that a W-309 would look somwhat like a F-30 at the hood, and controls,. I thought it might be a 15/30 till I saw the card. Is he right? Is there alot of diff between the two other than the obvious?
