hey, I am working on Gramps Regular myself. Regular did hvae both wide and narrow rear axle. Narrow is called the FAIRWAY model. I ahev asked questions for several years. BAsicaaly the Regular and F-20 engine are the same and will interchage. But, the F-20 uses a verticle exhaust pipe up through the hood and the regular has a little jug low one the side. So exhaust manifold and hood may be an issue. Also, I know the Reg has a gravity water system, I don't know about the F series. Regular uses a rack and pinion steering, F series a worm gear. Regular uses a 6 bolt hub on the rear wheels. hub is in the center of the wheel (French-Hecht wheels)( round spoked) so there wont be any width change in the wheel mounting. You would have to get a Fairway rear end. F series uses a spindle axle like the H or M and is far more versatile. And, used wheels are far more common.
