Looks like you've rescued a Super A from the grave. If it still has the serial number tag, it will be located on the inside of the left seat bracket as viewed from the rear. The prefix will be FAA followed by a 6 digit number. The serial number will be between 205000 and 357959. If that is missing or unreadable, the engine serial # will be close. It is under the #1 spark plug on a machined and stamped area -- will also have 6 digits. The prefix will be FAAM. Any other numbers will be raised and are casting codes or part numbers. Casting codes will look like "10*23*R". The 10 and 23 are the month and day of manufacture (casting). The * resembles a screw head. The letters range from R for 1948 through Z for 1954. V was not used, and U and W both mean 1951.
