Top end leak in Super M radiator

My radiator leaks near the top, because it drains to a certain level yet starts spraying a mist (I didn't have my grill or hood on) when I run it and it warms up/increases pressure. I know of that radiator sealant stuff, and have really, truly considered using it, but how long does it last? I admit, i am reluctant to tear her apart, but I know if I recore my radiator it will be a permanent fix but will cost about 30 times more. Would it be worth it? It may be painted this summer, so I don't really want to tear it apart after its painted. What do you guys think I should do? I really need some advice. Thanks.
