If the starter works now, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Keep the bendix working good opn the starter. If it gets sticky and doesnt engage quickly the starter will wear the teeth on the ring gear and it will have to be replaced. We hand cranked our C one summer because of this. Not too difficult to change the ring gear, but we didn't have time to tie it up and fix till busy season was over.
