Here is the problem I am having, I hope that some of you can give me hints as to the source of troubles...I have a 53 Super C that had good oil pressure, etc....I have been using it to pull a few things these last few days, nothing it can't handle. At any rate, I went to start it to pull it to the barn--it normally starts when you hit the starter rod, but tonight it tried to start, then nothing........When I hit the starter again, there was a waft of smoke that looks like it came from either the battery or start switch area. I changed batteries and all I got was a hum. I have a hand crank for my C but I can't get the motor to turn. I checked the oil and the oil ran out of the bottom test cock on the oil pan. No prior indications of problems..ANY SUGGESTIONS ????
